One of the most recognizable surnames in Canadian basketball will be involved in this weekend’s Silver Fox Invitational.

A Triano is coming to town.

Dustin Triano, whose father Jay serves as the head coach of the NBA’s Toronto Raptors, plays for South Delta Secondary School. The B.C.-based Sun Devils are entered in the 40th annual Silver Fox boys’ high school basketball tournament along with 19 other top-flight squads.

Dustin runs the show at the point guard position for South Delta. He’s 6-foot-1 and in Grade 11. It’s his third season of high school competition — all at the senior level.
