The Lakers and Celtics collapsed early. The Spurs well everybody knew it was coming. The Miami Heat a team composed specifically to make an assault on the NBA crown is currently a series away for reaching their first NBA Finals after the big shake up.

Lebron James, Dwayne Wade and the Heat are cruising along and will now meet the 2011 NBA MVP Derrick Rose and his Chicago Bulls in the Eastern Conference Finals. The Bulls are no slouches and pose a serious threat to return to the NBA finals for the first time since Michael Jordan led them to championship glory.

The Western Conference finals will feature the Dallas Mavericks versus the winner of the OKC/Memphis series.

The Mavs will be considered the favorite regardless who the play against. The team is ridding high after a convincing and broom sweeping job against the two time defending NBA champions L.A Lakers.

Dallas is looking to reach the Finals for the first time since their dreams of being crowned champs were crushed by Dwayne Wade and the Miami Heat. Dallas led the series 2-0 before losing four straight. Dwayne Wade was unstoppable then and could prove unstoppable if the two teams meet again.

With four teams remaining the Miami Heat have to be the odds on favorites to capture the title.
