Gee-Gees defeat Redmen to sweep competition at 2011 Jack Donohue Classic

The Ottawa Gee-Gees defeated the McGill Redmen 65-56 to complete a three-game sweep and win the 2011 Jack Donohue Classic.

Ottawa defeated the UNB Varsity Reds 84-54 in their opening game of the tournament and followed up by blasting the Laurier Golden Hawks 90-59.

The improving Gee-Gees push their preseason record to 7-6 and are currently on a five-game winning streak.

Ottawa has played the majority of the preseason without All-Canadian candidate Warren Ward, who has been in international duty with Team Canada.
