Phllip Scrubb and Ravens Too Much for Victoria Vikes 22nd Annual House-Laughton Hoops Classic
Sophomore Philip Scrubb scored a game-high 27 points on 9-of-19 shots to give the defending champions a 80-65 victory over the Victoria Vikes at the 2011 and 22nd Annual House-Laughton Hoops Classic.
Senior Elliott Thompson continued his hot shooting and finished with 22 points and four steals. He connected on 4-of-9 shoots from beyond the arc.
Tyson Hinz also reached double figures with 11 points and contributed with six rebounds and six assists.
Victoria a team looking to compete in the tough Canada West division was led by guard Ryan MacKinnon's 19-points including a game-high, five deep balls.
Forward Michael Berg was active and finished one rebound shy of a double-double with 10 points and nine rebounds.
The 15 point victory is the closest any Canadian team has come the Ravens.
Carleton will wrap-up the tournament with an afternoon game against the Guelph Gryphons.
