NBA D-League: Toros Cory Joseph Records First Ever Career Triple-Double
Recently assigned, Cory Joseph recorded his first-ever career triple-double as the Austin Toros raced past the Main Red Claws with a 112-82 victory.
Joseph scored 15 points, grabbed 17 rebounds (5 offensive) and dished out 12 assist while shooting 6-of-13 from the floor in just 33 minutes.
In his first game with the Toros, Joseph also had the hot with a career-high 25 points, six assist and four rebounds in a 113-103 win over the Iowa Energy.
The Austin Toros also added former Spurs/Longhorns point guard TJ Ford to their coaching staff after injuries forced the 28-year-old to retire from the NBA earlier this year.
The addition of TJ Ford should continue to accelerate Joseph's development and eventually translate to more minutes when Head coach Greg Popovich decides to call is name again.
In seven games with the Spurs minor league team the Canadian national team point guard has started five game, is averaging 12.9 points 3.3 rebounds and 3.6 assists and has healthy 5-2 record in the D-league.
