Who is greatest Suns player of all-time?
After Steve Nash re-signed with the Suns for two more years, it got us to thinking: Is he the greatest Suns player of all-time?
He's the only Suns player with two MVP trophies on his mantle; he ranks third on the club in all-time assists and has the best free-throw shooting percentage in team history.
Yet, he's never taken Phoenix to the NBA finals.
So, if not Nash, then who?
-- Charles Barkley, the only other MVP from the Suns? He led the Suns to the NBA's best record (62-20) on the way to the 1993 NBA finals; he was All-NBA four times as a Sun; and was chosen one of the 50 greatest players in NBA history. Yet he only played four seasons in Phoenix.
