Freshman point guard Myck Kabongo has decided to return to the Longhorns program for his sophomore season.

Kabongo quickly put rumors to rest that he was going to declare for the 2012 NBA Draft, and is now looking forward to returning to Texas and continue his development under the tutelage of Head Coach Rick Barnes.

The 6-foot-1 floor leader averaged 9.6 points per game and 5.2 assists, but he was erratic throughout the season, also averaging three turnovers per contest.

"I think we have a chance to be a special team," Kabongo, "I want to become a better leader and player."
