The Canadian charge towards NCAA invasion continues. Anthony Bennett made splashes when he committed to the UNLV Runnin' Rebels.

Two of most intriguing decisions yet to be determined are the commitments of 2014 #1 Player Andrew Wiggins and Xavier Rathan-Mayes, Wiggins teammate a Huntington Prep.

Rathan Mayes is just as talented as any point guard in his class and the Memphis Tigers appear to be leading the charge to land the Canadian point guard who grew-up watching the Raptors only true great point guard, yeah we talking about mighty mouse aka Damon Stoudamire.

"He was a great point guard down here in Toronto," Rathan-Mayes said. "He did some really special things, winning Rookie of the Year. He's definitely a point guard that I look up to and somebody that I would definitely look to help me with my game."

The son of former Philadelphia 76ers guard Tharon Mayes, Rathan-Mayes listed Memphis, Florida State, Connecticut, Kansas, Illinois, Washington State and Tennessee, among others.

Through conversations with Stoudamire and Memphis coach Josh Pastner, Rathan-Mayes said he's learned how driven the city of Memphis is by basketball.

"It just seems like a great place to play," Rathan-Mayes said. "Being an NBA city with the Grizzlies down there, and (Huntington Prep alum) O.J. Mayo down there. ... It just seems like a great place to be. They have a great staff in Pastner and Damon. It definitely seems like a special place to play."
