Stephany Skrba – Michigan Bound

This past summer, Stephany Skrba, the #1 ranked high school player in the country, lead Canada’s Junior Women’s basketball team to a bronze medal at FIBA’s Tournament of the Americas qualification tournament in Puerto Rico. The 6-2 power forward from Richmond Hill, Ontario lead her team in scoring and rebounding, averaging a double-double for the entire tournament with 12 PPG and 13 RPG. Her rebounding efforts were good enough to lead the entire tournament, which included international powerhouses such as the USA, Brazil and Puerto Rico. The bronze medal now qualifies Canada to compete at FIBA’s World Championship for Women, for the first time ever, this summer in Tunisia.
