Jamal Murray, Chris Egi, Marial Shayok, Montaque Caeser-Gill Highlight Canada’s 2013 Nike Global Challenge Roster

Washington, D.C – (BasketballBuzz) – The Nike Global Challenge has proved itself as valuable stop for some the Top prospects to showcase their skills in front of Global Audience. Canada’s top prospects have used the platform to elevate their game and eventually making their way to NBA. Names like Andrew Wiggins, Anthony Bennett, Trey Lyles, have come and gone thought the Global Challenge, which features a total of 8-teams, four international teams (Canada, Brazil, France, Pan-Africa) and four USA  (West, MidWest, South, East.)

Canada’s top prospects have represented Canada well at the event and they are coming off a hard-fought 100-86 loss at the hands of USA MidWest in the 2012 Championship game. Furthermore, Canadians have had a appetite for snagging MVP honors, since its start in 2007 five Canadians have been named International MVP, with Andrew Wiggins taking the crown a twice. Additional twelve Canadians have also craved their names on the International All-Tournament Team.

The 2013 roster is highlighted by two returnees from last year’s roster, in Ottawa area natives Marial Shayok, and Zevin Zabo. Canadian Junior National Team Member Chris Egi and 2013 Jordan Brand International game MVP Jamal Murray will also look to make a splash at this years event.
