Andre Drummond Drums Up 20/20 Visionary Numbers That Wilt The Record Books

Monroe.

That surname is synonymous with basketball legend in the NBA league. Whether it be New York times Knick legend Earl the Pearl. Or one of the biggest, youngest and best of the free agent signing pick-ups this Summer, Greg Monroe. But still now the former Detroit Piston Monroe is a Milwaukee Buck it’s time for another Bad Boy to become instant vintage like an old classic.

So how about a guy that could even wilt Chamberlain’s stilt stats?

Just when you thought the Detroit Pistons forgot about ‘Dre, Andre Drummond has shown he is far from the digit on his chest as at just 22 years of age, this Bad Boy is the new hero of Motown. Riding with the Motor City chrome jersey and proving to be the biggest Piston in the Detroit engine. Big D is the biggest thing in the D right now.

Now losing Greg Monroe doesn’t seem that bad at all (although a painted post partnership of Monroe and Drummond could even rival San Antonio’s Duncan and Admiral, Mark Two; Aldridge). And with the one, two combo of the new big A.D. and Reggie Jackson (hows that for another famous sporting name of legend) the assembly line of Piston dynamic duos don’t even need the dynamo of Brandon Jennings right now. But you best believe they’re glad they’ve got even more under the hood.

Because right now Andre is putting up numbers like 3000. Drummond has been on a tear at the ignition of this new 2015/2016 NBA season and now he is your Eastern Conference Player Of The Week to go along with the Wests best James Harden of the soaring Houston Rockets. But even if the new king James is recording as many points in two games as their are games in the season, there is more than just the beard to fear in this video game league that is going all NBA 2K right about now with the guy they’re calling the next Dwight Howard, Harden’s teammate.

Racking up the numbers on the speedometer, ‘Dre Drum’ is averaging 20 and 20 like opticians…or more like Wilt Chamberlain. Becoming the first player in NBA history to average at least 20 points and 20 rebounds in the first six games of an NBA season since the Big Dipper. Now it’s time for the Piston’s new motor on the block with the swats to ride this roller-coaster as high as he can.

For all you kids as young as Lil’ Dre, Wilt ‘The Stilt’ was the most dominant center of all-time, arguably even greater than Shaq and Kareem. Michael Jordan in reality being the only NBA player in history greater or more dominant than him…or anybody for that matter. Still, records were meant to be broken and Drummond may be coming pretty close to a man that once averaged 50 points and 25 rebounds in a season and even recorded 100 points in a single game. Now we’re not saying Drummond could drum up stats like this but he really is fueling the box-office tank with the lines he’s filling up.

Just yesterday he put down 29 and 27 as Detroit put down the Portland Trail Blazers 120-103. That’s almost 30 and 30. Now how would that be for an average? Now that would be worthy of an ESPN documentary. Or the next biggest man in this next generation league of a small ball revolution. Hotter than Curry hitting 53 on opening night there’s a chef cooking in Motown like Berry Gordy making music. Now how’s that for a hit?

It’s all green lights on 8 mile road as ‘Dre is in his own lane. The home of Wonder and Marvin hasn’t been grabbed like this since Rodman was running the rebound boards. And this boy is anything but bad…
