King-James-Harden.
That’s how you initial your NBA MVP right now and after last nights superstar Sunday showdown, will someone else be taking the throne by royal appointment from Maurice to Larry this year?
LeBron James may have has a whopping 37 points last night in his Cleveland Cavaliers overtime thriller against the Houston Rockets, but James Harden’s, Kareem like 33 turned the ignition for the Toyota Centre as the Rockets rocked and tuned up the Cavs to the tune of 105-103, beating them by a bucket as the wine and gold couldn’t bear the beard. LeBron clutched a late game three but then missed a pair of free throws with time running down to ice cold his game.
This left ‘Bron the MVP in the mirror as he posted a very reflective Instagram post saying he “failed his teammates”. This is one selfie we didn’t need to see as King LeBron put up a valiant effort. Still adding Instagram insult to more insult and flagrant injury, Houston has more problems for ‘Bron when it came to social media.
And I bet you thought Harden kicking his first name, last namesake in the groin was bad enough?
Well it really wasn’t the royal Cavaliers day after previously getting into it with Patrick Beverly on the floor. Then to end the night the Rockets tried to break the basketball internet by claiming they had the real ‘King James’ in Harden via Twitter trolling.
It looks like heads will roll in this NBA ‘Game Of Thrones’ race for the MVP crown, but the one, true king still lies with the one who has the gold. Even if Harden is going even harder without Howard in Houston.
At the end of the day and season the crowned royalty of National Basketball will be the one with a gold band round his finger and his place in the throne room.
King (LeBron) James or King James (Harden)? You decide!
This just got real…real good!
