Minnesota, Lakers Win Lottery

Who says winning the lottery is a one in a million chance?

It could happen to you…or more likely the good people of Minnesota.

After acquiring-via trade-the last two number one picks of the last two years, the Timberwolves have done it again as the ball has fallen the right way for them finally in the actual draft itself. Now Canadian’s Anthony Bennett and this years unanimous Rookie Of The Year Andrew Wiggins will be joined by a brand new number one pick. Not to mention their ultimate number one pick in returning legend Kevin Garnett, Europe’s former answer to LeBron, Ricky Rubio and Space Jam champ Zach Lavine.

Now with one hell of a roster and redemption story, the only bad spot for this franchise of the future is that they probably won’t get the top pick next year. Because after this trilogy this team will be thinking more than playoffs.

But then stranger things have happened in the summer season woods over the last few years with these Wolves.

And to think they used to have their lone hopes on Love…hate this pack now.

It’s also looking big man up for Minneapolis’ former inhabitants the Los Angeles Lakers after their worst season in franchise history that legend Kobe Bryant dubbed “crap” on Twitter. Now the Mamba muse who is set to hang his snakes up will be happy to pass the torch for a franchise that consists of a young big three of last years injured Rookie Julius Randle and second-half surprise, all-team Jordan Clarkson, to go along with a new top pick. Not to maybe mention those Rajon Rondo, LaMarcus Aldridge and Jimmy Butler rumours. The future of L.A’s original team is looking legend legacy worthy (word to Big Game James) let alone Clipper contender rivalling.

Now the only question is who is the next face of this Wilt, West, Kareem, Magic, Shaq and Kobe franchise of famers? Will it be one of Randle’s seven Kentucky alumni graduates, including Karl-Anthony Towns. Or maybe Duke devil Jahil Okafor, D’Angelo Russell and Emmanuel Mundiay from Ohio State (by way of China), or Wildcat claw clipping and taming Badger, Frank ‘The Tank’ Kaminsky. With the 27th choice also in their selection the Lake Show could make a late, round Jordan like steal. Somebody maybe like fellow Wisconsin star Sam Dekker if his stock goes down. It shouldn’t however. This kid is a viable three point threat, a big man spreading the flood not seen this wide since the days of former ‘Sixth Man Of The Year’ Lamar Odom.

Still when it comes to the star studded studs of the new school, in the bronze position the Philadelphia 76ers could give their last few years big man core of Joel Embiid and Nerlens Noel a real big three. Now they definitely won’t need to talk about tanking. In this day and trade age of rebuilding for the future from the ground up, the rest of this top ten of a billboard chart of future stars lists as follows in ascending order; the New York Knicks, Orlando Magic, Sacramento Kings, Denver Nuggets, Detroit Pistons, Charlotte Hornets and Miami Heat.

With a new class like no other set for the B.K these winners with the numbers hope they have just the ticket. With no selections to Brooklyn, let the ping pong ball games begin.
