Raptors Cory Joseph 33 point career-high against Brooklyn Nets

Toronto Raptors back-up point guard Cory Joseph took full advantage of head coach Dwayne Casey’s decision to rest NBA All-Star point guard Kyle Lowry against the Brooklyn Nets.

Joseph joined DeMar DeRozan in the starting line-up and torched the struggling Nets for a career-high 33 points on 15-of-22 shooting, 1-of-4 from three-pointers and 2-of-2 from the free-throw line. The 6’3″, 190 lbs guard from local Greater Toronto Area (GTA) product added four rebounds and four assists in 37 minutes of action in the 119-109 victory.

Joseph is currently averaging 8.8 points, 2.9 rebounds and 2.8 assists and has appeared in all of the Raptors’ 33 regular season games thus far and should be heavily considered for the sixth-man award.
