No more Mone.

After 15 seasons, eight all-star selections, four WNBA championships, a finals MVP…oh and three Olympic gold medals for the former Rookie of the Year, Seimone Augustus is calling it a career.

Augustus was the one.

The Minnesota Lynx legend spent 14 years in the Twin Cities, before heading to Los Angeles from Minneapolis like the Lakers for her final year in the Wubble. Filling in nicely for Nneka’s sister, Chiney who sat out of Florida for health and safety reasons. Showing she still had game like dusting off Monopoly from your loft.

The purple and gold of the Sparks will be sad to say goodbye to another great. This coming after their own franchise legend Candace Parker headed home from Hollywood to Chicago for the Sky. But then again this month when the Sparks’ purple and gold brotherhood of the Lakers had more point guard problems then they did in the 2000’s. With no disrespect to Coach Fish, who was as clutch as they came in this 0.4 anniversary. We thought their own assistant Jason Kidd could have suited up and kidded around for another triple-double.

Winsidr’s very own Rachel Galligan getting her Woj on reported the news of the 37 year olds retirement from the game she helped make a great one.

The 6-foot guard hangs up sneakers that stepped to career averages of 15.4 points, 3.1 rebounds and 2.3 assists. This comes off shooting 48% from the field and 36.4% from a downtown dialed distance. If that wasn’t enough points for you, let’s put it another way.

Her place in the Hall is secure.

Closing out her career with the number 33 like Kareem, when you look at this quarter century anniversary you can’t forget about the Money.
