Week six of the 2022 CEBL was filled with outstanding individual performances. The Ottawa Blackjacks authored an all-time classic in one of the greatest Elam endings you will see. We also witnessed the biggest smack down in CEBL history
Only two new players make the top 10 cut this week. Evenly split between five Canadians and five internationals, we also give some much-needed buzz to the son of a former Toronto Raptors all-star. Additionally, we have our first week with three players from the same team.
Khalil Ahmed – Niagara River Lions
Big week for Khalil Ahmed. The leading candidate for 2022 CEBL MVP scored 37 points and grabbed a career-high 9 rebounds in a showdown against Scott Lindsey and the Saskatchewan Rattlers. Ahmed has topped the 30-plus scoring mark on three occasions this season, two of those outbursts coming against the Rattlers.

Jalen Harris – Scarborough Shooting Stars
Jalen Harris continued his case for MVP hardware with three stellar outings as Scarborough continued the steady climb and a potential top four seed at the 2022 CEBL Championship weekend. The Scarborough Shooting Stars became the victim of the biggest CEBL Elam ending comeback after falling to close out the visiting Ottawa Blackjacks despite holding a 14 point cushion.

Isiaha Mike – Scarborough Shooting Stars
Isiah Mike hasn’t missed a beat all-season. It’s hard to believe that this is his first appearance in the weekly 2022 CEBL top ten performers list. The former SMU Mustangs guard delivered a super efficient 27 point scoring clinic on the road versus the Fraser Valley Bandits.

Antonio Davis Jr., the son of former Toronto Raptors all-star Antonio Davis, racked up a big double-double to help the Niagara River Lions avoid a winless week.

Impacting the game on both sides, Caleb Agada is scoring within the flow of the offence and is disrupting opposing teams schemes with timely steals. The Hamilton Honey Badgers held their two opponents under 80 points and continue to lead the CEBL in points per allowed at 77 per game.

The Newfoundland Growlers suffered the largest defeat in CEBL history in the 120-69 dismantling at the hands of the defending champions Edmonton Stingers. Brandon Sampson and the Growlers regrouped and earned their first win in franchise history over the Saskatchewan Rattlers.
