Milwaukee Bucks Canadian point guard Lindell Wigginton took full advantage of his opportunity and delivered an impressive career night in the 137-114 loss to the Memphis Grizzlies.

Locked in as the top-seed in the Eastern Conference for the upcoming 2023 NBA Playoffs, the Bucks decided to rest their starters and give their younger players a chance to shine.

Wigginton exposed the Grizzlies defence with precision passing and demonstrate his uncanny ability to put the ball in the basket in a variety of ways.

The 24-year-old point guard finished with a career-high 25 points, eleven assists, five rebounds and one block in 41 minutes. The Dartmouth, Nova Scotia native knocked down 10-of-20 field goal attempts, 4-of-10 three points and registered his first official NBA double-double.

In good spirits after the game, the Canadian reflected on his career-night and the trust and confidence the Bucks organization have in him to lead the team.

“It means a lot to me, it shows that they got trust in me. Each and every time I step on the floor, whether it’s one minute or it’s 30 minutes, they give me the confidence to go out there and just be me, just play my game and not think too much out there. I give all the credit to my teammates and coaches.”

One of eighteen Canadian players in the G League, Wigginton had an outstanding season with the Wisconsin Herd and finished as the top Canadian scorer. The former Iowa State Cyclone averaged of 22.3 points, 3.9 rebounds, 6.0 assists in 20 games for the Wisconsin Herd.
