It’s A Hard Knick Life For N.Y.

It’s A Hard Knick Life For N.Y.

Tell M.J. Annie’s O.K…even in that Jamie Foxx and Cam Diaz movie she didn’t have it this bad!

“‘Stead of treated”!

Sure the new New York Knicks have more than just their one global superstar and franchise face Carmelo Anthony in potential Rookie Of The Year Kristaps Porzingis, but before the storied team in the worlds most famous arena, in the planets most recognisable city becomes that history themselves it’s time the Madison Square Garden faithful took their eyes off the bright lights of Times Square in the distance.

The ball has well and truly dropped! New Year has marched forward to the madness of same old.

It’s as clear as neon in night change has got to come like Cooke. Sure the Knicks may have fired former coach Derek Fisher but they really are clutching at straws right now. It wasn’t really the former Lakers fault and as now a more experienced one in Kurt Rambis takes over it’s time for no more excuses or hack likes. Especially with the Zen of former Knickerbocker role playing champion Phil Jackson in the ownership of the front office.

Time for these purple hearts to show some gold.

Showtime!

Because right now from the Empire State to the Freedom Tower it doesn’t matter how pretty N.Y.C. looks…they are sitting ugly in 13th place out in the wilderness of the Cavalier beast East. Unlucky for some…more like them. The Knicks year has been nicked like a close shave…you can hear it in the barbershops all the way to the Bronx. Only the lowly Sixers and their Brooklyn neighbours are basement below them.

At least they are winning the fight for N.Y. with the Nets.

But the jokes still on these knights of Gotham City.

And nobody told us that last years M.S.G. rebuild was being done with even more bricks.

Sure the revamped Knicks like the redesigned Milwaukee Bucks a spot of bother above them are a popular team finding their feet in a Eastern Conference dancefloor as crowded as their cobbled Meatpacking streets after hours. I mean even the Wall banging Washington Wizards may have a spell out of the postseason this year. But come Summer New York will have to make some major moves. Draft night steal or slim pickings not.

Time for everyones favourite dream destination to be one for ball players. Anthony won’t be so ‘Melo about it this time. They really don’t want to lose a man who will go down next to Patrick Ewing, Bernard King, Earl the Pearl and Walt ‘Clyde’ Frazier as one of the top 5 N.Y.K. players of all-time. How about the sense to add a sixth?

The Knick family features some real talent, but they have to be more than just relatives of big players like Brook Lopez and Horace and Harvey Grant. I mean even Tim Hardaway’s son bounced. These juniors need to grow up.

It’s time these orangemen stopped striking out with the peach like baseballs Mets. No wonder the Yankees won’t let them use their logo anymore.

Time to cap this off.

Take the baseline out…because soon Spike Lee will have to get up and play from courtside.

I hope he’s got game!

All the ballers born to clock its now at the buzzer to put money on your longshot. Time to go from lukewarm to hot.

Do it for the memory of Biggie baby!
