Orange Is The New OKC Look

Orange Is The New OKC Look

Weather this!

The Thunder just upped their uniform game as OKC added another colorway to their loaded locker room. Oklahoma City may have the Sonic splitting, new Thunder white and blue vintage, for their already classic, home and away jerseys. To go along with their navy, vertical third-string jerseys and their sleeved alternative, but they’ve just brought a new line to the new season.

And this one is almost as classic as the white and powder blue!

Months before the falls sunrise of the new NBA season, the Thunder have rained down on the markets their new ‘Sunrise Orange’ alternatives. These jerseys are forecast for 18 games this season, including the November 1st second game. So set your calender reminders, because these duds (that are anything but) are hot enough to burn a hole in your pocket.

The colour may resemble a look you have during a Summer pool party with no lotion applied, but these Aquaman and Mets colourways are nothing to laugh at. Everyone’s saying orange is the new black after all…and when Russell Westbrook scorches across the lane this whole get up is going to look hotter than the sun.

The new suit to Thunder up in features all the logos, trimming and bells and whistles of your usual Oklahoma City apparel. This one, however also features the player name below their signature number, much like last years All-Star and Christmas Day special jerseys. These ‘Sunday Oranges’ however feature the chanted city initials of ‘O.K.C.’ thunderstruck across the chest for the crowds chest thumping cheers.

In a Summer of new jerseys, re-designs and throwback testaments, these are the cream of a crop of classic new on-court designs (except for the…well you know who). Soon there will be even more NBA jerseys then there are players on court as these particulars join a legendary color chart line of New York Knickerbocker orange re-designs and even a throwback all the way back to the high-flying days of the Spirit Of St. Louis tribute team.

So those who didn’t think lightning could strike twice might want to check a fifth time. Now how about some Seattle Supersonic throwback nights with all due respect? Now wouldn’t that really be something?

Right now though as Kevin Durant looks to lead his team back to the championship contention his MVP game demands things are about to get real hot. But with a new look these peach players are about to peel off some new O.J. that will always go down smooth.
