Rev up the engines. Call up Vince Carter.
Toronto native and New Mexico State Aggies junior guard, Matt Taylor, known for his ability to dunk over opponents, has added another impressive slam to his repertoire.
At the halfway mark (9:37) of the first half, the six-foot-four, 172-pound player passed on a corner jump shot, choosing to engage in a two-man game with teammate Eli Chuha. Chuha assessed the defence and passed the ball back out to Taylor.
Mr. Taylor, in classic gentlemanly manner, gladly received the return pass with rhythm. He baited his initial defender (extremely weak closeout, by the way) and caught two Bakersfield defenders sleeping on his bounce ability, resulting in a possible early 2017 NCAA dunk of the year nominee.
More importantly, the Aggies extended their winning streak to 15 games and now boast one of the country’s best records at 17-2.
