22 Zip…Walton’s Warriors Are Really Coming Out To Play!

22 and nothing…it’s almost getting boring…

…yeah right!

How could you not want to watch Basketball like this? As they used to say in Sacramento; “if you don’t like that, you just don’t like basketball”! But this is happening a little south of Sacto, in California’s Golden State.

These Warriors are the Oakland Raiders of peach basketball. The Oracle of the eye of the future, that is small-ball revolution now! Best since the 72 Bulls, you know the year. And you best believe this stampeding charge could beat it or the leagues longest ever winning streak.

And Steve Kerr isn’t even the one taking them there!

Whilst Coach is on the recovery table, Chef Curry is still cooking hot with the shot. Right next to his Pacific tide riding brother Klay Thompson and the big-three completion of the Most Improved, All Defense Draymond Green. Not to mention bond sealant, blue guys like Bogut, Barnes and more. And who could for forget the stifling defense of reigning Finals MVP, Andre Iguodola?

Yet it’s his former Wildcat Arizona alumnus, Luke Walton who is taking them there and boy do we love it like Iggy does!

The record is incredible and Coach Walton’s sideline reputation is intact. Even though there are some who don’t credit all this to him. Or some that even argue his eligibility for Coach of the Year. But right now he is that and nothing else can touch him. Nobody! Not one! Don’t get it twisted this isn’t another case of a capable Coach being replaced by another like Mark Jackson…I’m sorry but Steve Kerr is for real and the job is his. But Bill Walton’s son will definitely find his own one, even a co one in the interim now he has made his own name.

After scorching the nets in Brooklyn 114-98 last night, behind Curry’s blazing 28 points it couldn’t be more clear. The Warriors and Walton are here to stay in one way or another. It’s a dynasty and the former player who won championships with the Los Angeles Lakers and Kobe, with and without Shaq knows all about and is built for this. He’s endured through it all. Showtime and show over and it’s his stage now, no curtain. Sure, it’d be great to see both he and Kerr on the sideline together when the former Chicago Bull legendary champion returns from his back recovery. But one way or another we will see them both in a head position soon, because Luke is no substitute teacher. He’s class in session old school.

Neither man should be underrated no matter how pure Stephen Curry’s shot and Golden State’s one for the title is. These guys are true Warriors and coaches even if they where both almost seemingly impossibly flawless in both their rookie campaigns with the dry erase. There’s more to it than that. They aren’t standing on the shoulders of giants in this small ball age, they are carrying and leading their team to these sure thing victories. You knew both where made for this side of the game when they where players. They say role players make the best coaches, but these former x-factor champions where a little more legendary than that for the Chicago Bulls and Los Angeles Lakers. Their all round game may have been primed for the pine, but Kerr’s Curry clucth, true three and Walton’s pure pass, amazing assist belong to the gifts of the greats, handed down from the basketball Gods.

And Luke is passing it all down right as his Portland Trail Balzing legendary father Bill watches from the sidelines of commentary. What more can even he say? The Waltons is playing on T.V. every night like it was the seventies, the last time these Warriors won behind the grandma style of Rick Barry. Now, just how long can they keep this up for? 72? 82?

“Luuuuuuke” just keeps going like the chant for him in Lakerland that almost sounded like boos as he came off the bench. But its all cheers and chants as the coke glasses get knocked together. All until Steve Kerr comes back and out to play.
