Lakers Julius Randle Play Today

Anything can happen in the next half hour and by the time you read this Julius Randle will have made his Los Angeles Lakers debut…

After a bad day followed Nick Young and Jordan Hill re-signing after the trade for Jeremy Lin the Lakers are in need of some luck. Maybe it’ll be a lady in Las Vegas tonight as the NBA vest and sweats Summer league continues in the UNLV. The Lakers last night lost Pau Gasol to the Chicago Bulls as well as losing out on their former friend Trevor Ariza’s sweepstakes, let alone the Carmelo Anthony ones as Phil Jackson and Derek Fisher broke purple hearts again.

Now Gasol joins the departed Jordan Farmar, Jodie Meeks, Kent Bazemore and Chris Kaman its time for some new gold to join the Linsanity of showtime. We may know what Jordan Clarkson has done this summer but its time for the cat from Kentucky to show his claws. With a sharp post up game for a swingman this kid could look like a vet amongst the rooks but after putting pen to paper to finally ink his contract its now time to put sneaker to hardwood and ball. With no LeBron or ‘Melo, Kobe’s new partner may fight Young and Lin for the Lakers future, but today he leads the way. His team will need him to be the anchor man as they go all in to sin city playing their strongest hand. It’s a big deal.
