It was all smiles for Canadian rookie RJ Barrett who for the second straight night silenced his critics with his best game of the NBA Summer league.
Barrett recorded his second straight double-double a NBA Summer League back-to-back with a 21-point, 10-rebound, 3 assist effort as the the New York Kicks roasted the Los Angeles Lakers 117-96 in the battle of winless teams in Las Vegas.
After a slow, sluggish and inefficient start to the 2019 NBA Summer League, Barrett has started to showcase his raw talent as he gets ready for his first full NBA season at only 19 years of age.
The Knicks rookie scored on 6-of-17 field goal attempts, nailed 2-of-8 triples and was agressive attacking the rack and nailing of 7-of-10 free-throws.
For the second straight night barred only had one turnover in 29 minutes.
The third pick of the 2019 NBA Draft also went for a 17 point and 10 rebound double in the Knicks loss to the Raptors.
