Robert Morris Colonials get commitment from Champlain St. Lambert’s Yann Charles

Robert Morris Colonials head coach Mike Rice and his staff have landed another late steal, going north of the border to pick up a commitment from Champlain St. Lambert’s Yann Charles.

A native of Longueuil, Canada, Charles saw recruitment from a variety of levels this year with places like Notre Dame, Elon, East Kentucky, Long Island, Quinnipiac, Hartford, and Ball State all being involved at one point or another. As recently as last week the new Boston College staff also made the visit to Canada to watch him work out.

While Charles was the most highly recruited player on a very talented Champlain team, he was still under-recruited in my estimation. He would have ended up with a plethora of mid-major scholarship offers had he played in the states. In other words, Robert Morris got another steal.
