2011 AUS Playoffs: Dalhousie Tigers off to the big dance, qualify for 2011 CIS basketball Final 8

Dalhousie Tigers 79 – St. Francis X-Men 68
The Dalhousie Tigers pounded the ball inside early and often taking a 38-27 half-time lead in the locker room. The second half consisted of the same formula, as Centre Joe Schow and Point Guard Simon Farine outclassed the X-men, ballooning the Tigers as large as 21 points. Will Silver and Jeremy Dunn cut the Tigers lead to 57-47 with a quarter to play.

The final period saw the X-men turn up full court pressure and applying a 2-3 zone to cut the Dalhousie lead to as low as 6 points with 5:00 minutes to play and again at the 1:25 mark. Simon Farine restored order draining a running banker with 3 minutes and knocked down two free throws which proved to be enough for Dalhousie to advance to the 2011 CIS Basketball Final 8 championships.
