2011 CIS Final 8: #2 Carleton Ravens Get Revenge Against #3 Saskatchewan Huskies Reach National Final

#3 Saskatchewan Huskies 83 – #2 Carleton Ravens 95

Tyson Hinz and the Carleton Ravens remembered vividly the outcome of the 2009-2010 National Semi-Finals in Ottawa. Saskatchewan Huskies 86, Carleton Ravens 82. The same two teams found themselves matched up on the same stage for the second in row, only difference was the final score.

The Ravens got a total team effort, timely three-pointers and 32 point All-Canadian performance from Tyson Hinz to defeat Saskatchewan Huskies 95-82 to reach the 2011 CIS Final 8 National Final.

Similar to last years semi-final the game came down to the last quarter, as both teams fought hard to advance but in the end the Dave Smart and Ravens end the Huskies hopes of repeating as national champions.

The Huskies shot themselves in the foot by going 28-45 from the free-throw line. Michael Lieffers went 2-8 from the charity stripe.
