The 2011 CIS men’s basketball champions, Carleton Ravens, added Ben Felix to the 2011-12 roster.

Ben Felix is a six-foot-eleven, 240-pound centre from Mill Bay, British Columbia will transfer from the Northeastern University Huskies, a division I school in Boston, and join the defending 2011 CIS basketball champions.

Felix averaged 1.1 points per game in just over 10 minutes for the Huskies and will instantly make the Carleton front line one of the biggest in the OUA.

Felix was a BC basketball provincial all-star in 2006 and played three seasons of varsity/high school basketball at Brentwood College School under coach Blake Gage before transferring to Berkshire School in Sheffield, Mass., under coach David Newman, where he also was named team captain.

Dave Smart addresses his needs a year or two ahead of scheduled. The Ravens are set to lose four players to graduation at the completion of the upcoming CIS basketball season and the adding of Felix not only gives him a year to get integrated with the program but essentially, also the opportunity to play a vital role in his senior season.
