What’s Next For The Miami Heat?

What’s Next For The Miami Heat?

After losing the KING last season, it has been clear that the Miami Heat will never regain the same dominant dynasty they built the previous four years, after making four straight finals appearances with Lebron James leading the way – his absence has been profoundly missed.

It cost the Heat to not only lose many players due to the huge rebuilding process but most importantly it cost them a spot in the 2015 NBA Eastern Conference playoffs. With Chris Bosh having a season ending injury due to having a blood clot in his lungs.

Dwayne Wade was forced to lead the Miami Heat to a late push to the playoffs with the help of the new editions in Luol Deng, Goran Dragic & Hassan Whiteside although those three contributed in a solid way, the Heat proved that they could not contend in the Eastern Conference going under the .500 mark with a total of 25-27 and an overall record of 37-45.

Unfortunately for Miami it was clear that not only was the team we were used to seeing the last four years dominate the eastern conference but also, the man who has helped bring the city 3 titles in 7 years was showing signs of ageing.

With Dwayne Wade missing a total of 20 games, playing the fewest minutes he has played in his career (31.8 ) and getting a career low in rebounds 3.5 a game this season, it is clear that Father-time is around the corner for Wade’s career.

With Luol Deng having a player’s option going into next season the Heat has to really consider if he is worth paying 10 million dollars, after scoring the fewest amount of points since his rookie year and never showing any signs of a consistent scorer ever since leaving Chicago his credibility is slowly dying down. And Goran Dragic becoming an unrestricted free agent this month we can help to wonder, “What Is Next For The Miami Heat?”
