Another fast pace and exciting week of the National Basketball League of Canada is in the books.

#1 London Lightning – (9-2) (LW: 1)
The Lightning survived two tough road contests and maintain the top spot for the fifth week in a row. The league’s best squad is currently battling injuries to key players as leading scorer DeAnthony Bowden (sprained ankle) and Rodney Buford (wrist) could miss key games against their 401 rivals.

#2 Quebec Kebs – (8-4) (LW: 3)
The Kebs racked-up three impressive victories on the road by holding their opponents under 100 points. Quebec is now on a four-game winning streak largely due to Ralphy Holmes, who’s excellent display of basketball earned him player of the week honours. The Philly native averaged 23.6 points and nine rebounds and was hot all week on 28-of-45 shooting for 62.2%.

#3 Saint John Mill Rats (6-5) (LW: 5)
The Mill Rats earned their first home victory of the season and missed a costly lay-up in traffic and got beat at the buzzer in their lone defeat this week. Newcomer Greg Plummer (Brooklyn, NY) canned seven three-pointers to cap off an impressive week as Saint John defeated their maritime rivals.

#4 Halifax Rainmen – (4-4) (LW: 4)
The Rainmen continue to play .500% ball and stay put at the fourth position. Halifax is 0-3 on the road so far.

#5 Oshawa Power – (5-6) (LW: 6)
The Power needed another buzzer beater by Akeem Wright to get past the Mill Rats on the road. Yikes, three-straight games against the #1 London Lightning. Oshawa is one of only two teams to defeat the Lightning this year.
