2011 Wilson Cup: Lakehead Thunderwolves stun #1 Carleton Ravens win OUA Championship

Lakehead Thunderwolves 77 – Carleton Ravens 62
Jamie Searle knocked down a buzzer beating three at the end of the 1st quarter to give the Thunderwolves a 15-14 lead, their first of the game as Lakehead never looked back, upsetting the #1 ranked and undefeated Carleton Ravens.

Lakehead held Ravens Forward Tyson Hinz in check, largely in part to double-teams, and took a 32-26 half-time lead. Carleton failed to hit a 3-pointer in the 1st half.

The Thunderwolves showed the nation why they are a top defensive squad, holding the Ravens to a season low 62 points and forcing 22 turnovers. More impressively, Lakehead played unselfish basketball and rotated the ball around the perimeter and beat Carleton at their own game
