Matthew Forbes notched a double-double of 23 points and ten rebounds in just 19 minutes of game action as the Saskatchewan Huskies outplayed the Acadia Axemen to the tune of an 84-69 victory at the 2011 Graham Shootout.
The Axemen jumped out ahead after the first quarter and led 20-15.
Duncan Jones also had a strong game with 20 points and Nolan Brudehl was the games top rebounder with 15 he also added 9 points.
Acadia was once again lead by Jonathan Tull and backcourt mate Anthony Ashe.
Tull netted 21 points and four steals while Ashe finished with 13 points. Forbes got fire in the second quarter and the host Huskies were ahead 41-37 at the interval.
Forbes continued his efficiency after the break and put the game away for good when he flushed a dunk with 1:12 remaining in the third quarter and stretch the lead to 68-51.
The Huskies will play the Windsor Lancers tomorrow evening before finishing up the tournament against the Alberta Golden Bears.

Both teams played short-handed, the Huskies played without Jamelle Barrett and Acadia was missing Owen Klassen.
