Jamelle Barrett hits game winner as Saskatchewan Huskies comeback against Trinity Western Spartans

The 2010 CIS Basketball defending championship are still breathing. Barely. Jamelle Barrett knocked down a running floater with 2 seconds on the clock to send the Saskatchewan Huskies to the Finals of the 2011 Canada West Final Four.

The Spartans lead for the majority of the game but couldn’t get a comfortable margin despite the struggles of Regean Chabot who came alive in the final minutes. The Huskies were down 10 points when Barrett made several steals to spark the comeback.

Up Next: The UBC Thunderbirds will be ready as the Huskies make their second straight Canada West Final 4 appearance. With a Final 8 berths already wrapped up, it will be interesting to see how teams use their top players. Win or lose, both teams should be ranked between 2-3 in Halifax.
