Florida State Canadian Freshman Xavier Rathan-Mayes continued his impressive season with a ridiculous 30 points in the final 4:39 of the game against the Miami Hurricanes. With the Seminoles trailing the game by 18 points at 62-47 with just under five minutes in remaining in the game the “Scarborough Kid” went on a ridiculous run that included 26 straight points to bring Florida State within striking distance at 73-70 with 1:03 left on the clock.
Xavier Rathan-Mayes finished with career-high 35 points on 10-0f-19 shooting including 6-of-11 from threes and 9-of-11 from the charity stripe. Florida State eventually lost the game 81-77. This marks the second time this season that Rathan-Mayes scored 35 points he also torched the North Carolina Tar Heels in earlier in the year.
