Canadians Kelly Olynyk & Kevin Pangos lead Gonzaga Bulldogs to first ever NCAA #1 Ranking

It took two Canadians to do, but for the first time ever in school history the Gonzaga Bulldogs have finally reached the top of the AP poll.

Gonzaga features the best record in college basketball at 29-2, 16-0 WCC and are currently riding 12-game winning streak.

Junior Forward Kelly Olynyk (Kamloops, BC) has surprised the entire NCAA with his play and is a strong candidate for the Player of the Year Award.

Olynk is averaging 17.7 points and seven rebounds following a redshirt year.

Kevin Pangos on the other hand has seen his scoring average dip a bit from his freshmen year, but overall the Canadian guard from Newmarket, ON has been solid on a nightly basis helping out with 11.2 points per game, 3.3 assists and 2.6 rebounds.
