Maya Moore the first overall pick of the 2011 WNBA Draft unleashed a 48-point, 10 rebound performance to set a new career-high in a 112-108 double overtime win over the Atlanta Dream.
The former Uconn Huskies star lite up the Dream by knocking 16-of-30 from the floor, including a scoring 7-of-9 from beyond the arc. The 48-point performance is the second biggest scoring effort in league history. Riquna “Bay Bay” Williams of the Tulsa Shock currently holds the record with 51 points scored against the San Antonio Silver Star.
Moore currently in her fourth season is having her best season yet and is averaging a 25.1 points, 8.3 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game.
