Raptors Dance Pak set to electrifying the 2011 CCAA men’s basketball national championship

The CCAA men’s basketball national championship host committee is proud to announce that the Raptors dance pak will be performing at the gold medal game on March 19, 2011 at the Campus Recreation and Wellness Centre.

The Raptors Dance Pak brings its own electrifying energy to all Raptors home games and now the biggest event on the Canadian College basketball schedule.

The CCAA men’s basketball national championship will be held at the Campus Recreation and Wellness Centre from March 17-19, 2011.

A key element of the Raptors’ in-game entertainment, the squad consists of highly-skilled dancers adept in a variety of dance forms including hip hop, jazz, tap, ballet and equipped with special skills including gymnastics.

The Dance Pak takes their show on the road, performing at more than 150 events a year, including an extensive number of charity appearances.

The CCAA championship will feature the top eight teams in the country battling it out for the national crown. The championship field will consist of the winning teams from each conference: British Columbia, Alberta, Ontario, Quebec and the Atlantic Provinces as well as two wild card teams. As the host, Durham College will receive the final bid in the championship.

The CCAA men’s basketball championship has only been held in Ontario three times in the last 20 years, with the last occasion being in 2006 at Sheridan College in Brampton.
