Team Ontario 71-44 knocked off Team BC to earn the 2011 U15 midget boys Canadian national basketball championships. The victory gives Team Ontario their fourth straight title/
Workhorse Chris Egi dominated inside to finished with a game-high 15 points, three rebounds and five steals. Corey Johnson and Russell Baker added 10 points respectively for Ontario.
Team BC was paced by guard Adam Karmali`s 11 points and two assists. Jalen Jana also played well with 8 points, six rebounds and two assists.
Chris Egi jumped started team Ontario`s offence with a two hand dunk to open the score and put the hometown favourites ahead 19-6 after one quarter.
British Columbia played evenly in the second quarter, but still trailed 36-22 at the break.
Ontario forced 25 turnovers overall, and held BC to just 7 points in a decisive third-quarter to run away with the 2011 Canadian Basketball Championship.
The four-peat leaves no doubt as to which province produces the best basketball talent in Canada.
The last time Ontario lost a U15 National Championship was in 2007 when they dropped an 88-77 decision to hosts Quebec.
