Canadian guard Lindell Wigginton (Dartmouth, Nova Scotia) has had an impressive freshman NCAA college basketball season. The Iowa State newcomer capped off what should be is lone campaign in “BIG 12” regular season action with a polarizing dunk of the year candidate that has flipped the internet upside down.
At only 6-foot-2 tall, Wigginton is well known for his natural ability to put defenders on posters and has again defied gravity with this massive, dunk against the Oklahoma Sooners.
Wigginton averaged a team-high 16.5 points per game as well as 3.6 rebounds, 3.0 assists on his way to becoming the first Iowa State rookie to score 300 points in conference play.
Despite the lack of wins, Wigginton’s freshman season will undoubtedly go down as one of the best in Canadian basketball history and so will this dunk and the legacy of #AirNovaScotia
