Frankly Only A Tank Could Stop Kentucky As Kaminsky’s Wisconsin Roll Over The Wildcats

And then there were two…

After the Madness of March, an upset was always bound to happen in this Final Four race for the nylon and as the Badgers beat the Wildcats there was not a dry eye in any house on the Big Blue Nation side of Kentucky.

Still what a run it was for U.K. and one of the best squad of students this alumni has ever seen. From before 2012 to every Anthony Davis, John Wall and DeMarcus Cousins from the NCAA that now dominate the NBA to this day.

This farm of hoop talent were something even more special this year. Running like wild horses in their own Kentucky derby this year, to a perfect, unbeatable 38-0 record. They where favorites and as a team the best, banner moment of this collegiate season, bar one kid from Wisconsin.

In the end, only a tank could stop them.

That artilleryman Kaminsky, as Frank ‘The Tank’ went all old school on the old testament of Coach Cap’s ‘cats with an NBA ready 20 points and 11 rebounds. Leading Wisconsin to a Kentucky badgering 71-64, all she wrote final score.

Clawing away at the Wildcats Cinderella run like a broken glass slipper, the finals now fit for Frank and ‘Consin who will now face the Blue Devil of another legendary leader in the form of Coach K’s Duke who with a 81-61 win put Michigan in a state. NBA prospect Jahlil Okafor and his powerhouse Duke are ready for the Tank in what should be a big against big, showdown for the ages and the face of the future of basketball even in this its prominent present.

Revenge trumped what could have been history last night as clutch plays, rebounds and fouls ensured Kentucky wouldn’t see 40. Maybe one day they could settle for a ’30 For 30′ documentary for their ESPN moment. Because right now a championship is either in the clutches of a four time national champ, or a player of the year wearing a t-shirt that ‘Made ’em Believe’.

Still it was a valiant effort for Kentucky. Karl-Anthony Towns led the Big Blue with 16 points. While twin ‘Cats Andrew Harrison and Aaron Harrison had 13 and 12 respectively. Far from “perfect” as Calapari was stressing, but worth it when considering one of the best squads of all-time in any hoops competition.

That sure is something to be left with as the tank keeps rolling. Now when the nets are finally cut down after the duking it out that comes next and we’re left with one, will it be the player of the year, or the team for all seasons?
