2013 CIS Final 8: Warren Ward leads #3 Ottawa Gee-Gees over #6 McGill Redmen

Ottawa, ON (BasketballBuzz) – The dream is still alive for Ottawa Gee-Gees Captain Warren Ward.

Ward (London, ON) finished with a double-double of 23 points and 11 rebounds to send the Ottawa Gee-Gees to the 2013 CIS Men’s National semi-final via an 82-70 victory former Gee-Gees head coach Dave Deaveiro.

Rookie Caleb Agada came off the bench to spark the Gee-Gees in the third quarter and finished 11 points.

Mcgill’s Vincent Dufort also finished with double of 18 points and 9 rebounds and Bermuda import Riley Te’Jour banged hard and contributed with 16 points and 6 rebounds in the losing effort.

The seeded #3 Gee-Gees will now face the #7 Lakehead Thunderwolves in first National semi-final of the 2013 CIS Final 8.
