The UBC Thunderbirds sore to 2011 Canada West championship final & 2011 CIS basketball Final 8

Alberta Golden Bears 76 – UBC Thunderbirds 98
The thunderbirds are a team on a mission, they are deep, talented have experience and more importantly hungrier than ever to bring the CIS Men’s basketball trophy to the West Coast.

UBC put together an impressive third quarter run to open up a tight game and survive another impressive performance from Golden Bears Guard Danny Ferguson. Jordan Baker picked bad to have a rough night. The Thunderbirds have now qualified for the 2011 CIS Basketball Final 8 for the 8th time out of the last nine years.
