On the same day that Wilt Chamberlain’s point total reached the century mark, Canadian Nik Stauskas followed-up his career-high 57 points with a 43-point outburst to score 100 combined points in a twenty-four-hour span.
The Grand Rapid Gold defeated the Lakeland Magic 124-119 to win their fourth consecutive game. Stauskas once again shot the lights out, swishing 16-of-21 (76.2%) shot attempts and 9-of-13 triples (69.2%) in 40 minutes of court time.
Stauskas becomes the second player in G League history to score 100 points in two games, and is the first to do it on back-to-back nights.
In two games, Stauskas has knocked down 36-of-50 (72%) shots, 20-of-28 (71%) three pointers and 7-of-8 free-throws in 83 minutes, translating to 1.2 points per minute.
In six seasons short NBA seasons, Stauskas has accumulated career-earnings of $14.6 million dollars and has nailed 398 career-three pointers, good for sixth all-time amongst Canadian NBA players.
