For Sandy-The Portland Trail Blazers Honour Fan Who Died Last Week

Sandra Zickefoose, 67, collapsed last Thursday during a game between the Portland Trail Blazers and the Dallas Mavericks in Oregon. She was rushed to hospital buy tragically died short-after.

The season ticket holder and devout fan will not be forgotten. Although the horrible accident is just too tragic the Portland Trail Blazers didn’t just stand by doing nothing. Before Sundays home game against the Denver Nuggets the city of Roses ballclub wore warm-ups with the name ‘Sandy’ printed above the logo. In a move that showed great class and respect Sandy’s name was wore proudly, while every household around the world bearing witness could remember this woman. I’m sure she’d be happy and proud to see her favourite team honour one of their most loyal and dedicated fans.

That night the team played for her.

Sandy, this is for you.
