Tristan Thompson amongst finalists for McDonald’s HS player of the year award

The awards and nominations keep piling up for Texas recruit and Canadian native Tristan Thompson. He was selected as one of six candidates for the prestigious McDonald’s high school player of the award.

The six male finalists are led by Harrison Barnes (Ames, Iowa). The North Carolina signee is joined by Kyrie Irving (St. Patrick’s, New Jersey), Perry Jones (Duncanville, Texas), Brandon Knight (Pine Crest, Florida), Jared Sullinger (Northland, Ohio) and Tristan Thompson (Findlay, Nevada).
