Canada’s Senior Men’s National Team (SMNT) announced it’s final roster of players and coaching staff which will compete at the 2016 FIBA Olympic Qualifier. Headlined by childhood, lifelong friends and NBA Champions Tristan Thompson (Cleveland Cavaliers) and Cory Joseph (Toronto Raptors) alongside Tyler Ennis (Milwaukee Bucks), Team Canada features a talented but short-handed squad who is without the services of Andrew Wiggins (Minnesota Timberwolves), Kelly Onlynk (Boston Celtics), Andrew Nicholson (Washington Wizards), Nik Stauskas (Philadelphia 76ers) and Trey Lyles (Utah Jazz)

Canada looking to end its 16-year Olympic basketball drought went well 4-1 in exhibition play leading up to the “Thrills in Manilla” scoring key wins over Italy, Croatia.
