Philadelphia 76ers’ second-round pick Marial Shayok had an impressive NBA Summer League debut — scoring a team-high 19 points and grabbing four rebounds in 21 minutes off the bench to lead the 76ers to a 107-106 win over the Milwaukee Bucks.
Shayok, the 54th pick of the 2019 NBA draft and the first Ottawa basketball player to be selected in the NBA shot 7-of-13 from the floor and went 3-of-6 from the three-point line.
Part of a record number of Canadians invading the 2019 NBA Summer League, Shayok had a personal 7-0 run in the fourth quarter to help the 76ers get the win.
